A single mom found herself in need of glasses in order to obtain her driver’s license and she did not have health insurance coverage. She had recently escaped a domestic violence situation and was trying her hardest to make a new life for herself and her five young boys. Her caseworker had referred her to the A Little LIFT program. The community came together and funded this LIFT and she was able to receive her eye exam and glasses, which led her to obtaining her driver’s license. Her family now has medical benefits through her job.
