A family involved in Blueprints’ Early Learning program and Policy Council for Head Start is in need of brakes for their vehicle in order to pass inspection. The dad works while the mom stays home to care for their twin girls who have disabilities. With the disabilities come many doctor visits and trips to Children’s Hospital, as well as the need to transport the children to Head Start and the dad to his place of employment. Without a vehicle, they could lose their financial support as well as transportation that is needed for their children’s health.
