A single mom has found herself in a tough spot and is diligently working to overcome the barriers in her life. She is a single mom of three children involved in Blueprints Early Learning Program, and is currently pregnant. She wants to take the step and obtain her permit, so she can then get her driver’s license. This will allow her to stay healthy during her pregnancy, since she is currently walking to work each day. It will allow her to maintain her employment and transport her children to and from doctors appointments and school. This year she graduated from Blueprints’ Getting Ahead Program, where she attended weekly classes that connected her to resources and developed a plan to “get ahead”.
