A local family has found themselves in need of a little LIFT as the season shifts towards sleet and snowy weather. This family was able to move out of low income housing and secure housing elsewhere, but the weather and lack of transportation has made it increasingly difficult for the two children to attend their preschool classes. Each day the father attempts to walk the children 1.2 miles to the preschool center and back home afterwards, but it has been a difficult task to complete as of late. This LIFT would secure 6 months worth of bus tickets for the family to make it to school and back and ensure their attendance remains top notch so they are prepared for Kindergarten.
