A local family with four children, two of which are enrolled in Blueprints’ Early Learning program, has recently dealt with some financial struggles. The children’s dad was involved in a car accident over the summer and was unable to go to work for a few months, which led to some financial difficulties and struggles to maintain household bills. The children’s mom is on the path to becoming a part-time substitute teacher in order to help sustain the household financially. To reach this goal, she is in need of clearances, but the cost is out of their reach. Becoming a substitute teacher will not only help her husband and four children maintain their basic needs within the home, but will also help her gain work experience and skills for a future full-time job.
